Blackburn United 4
Campbell 19mins & 24mins, Swan 42mins, Spence 81mins
Whitburn 0

Blackburn followed up the midweek win over Super League side Fauldhouse United with a resounding win over Premier League near neighbours Whitburn in this hastily arranged friendly after the scheduled league game at Kirkcaldy fell foul of the weather. After going close a couple of times, Danny CAMPBELL opened the scoring with a neat finish before doubling his tally just five minutes later. A fine Gavin King save from one of very few Whitburn forays forward was quickly followed by United's third, David SWAN following in Campbell's shot from the edge of the box to guide the ball home. Several changes ensued in the second half but the run of play was still towards the visitors goal and a deserved fourth and final goal arrived when a terrific turn by substitute Fraser SPENCE on the byeline was matched by an equally terrific finish from an acute angle by the young midfielder.
