Season 1992/93
Midfielder Alan Stewart was placed on the transfer list during the close season at his own request and he later signs for Pumpherston, his place in the squad being taken by Gary McCandless who was signed from Slammanan Amateurs.

The season started with a bang as the team qualified from the strongest League Cup section, knocking out First Division sides Bathgate Thiste, Whitburn and Livingston United. Progress was all but assured in an almost unbelievable 7-4 win at Station Park where Graham Bruce bagged four of the goals. In the quarter-final at New Dundas Park, we lead 3-2 going into the closing minutes after having come back from two down, only for Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic to equalise and go on to win the replay the following week.

The early league performances were once again indifferent with seven points being earned in the first six fixtures in a run of games which included an embarassing 8-0 home defeat at the hands of Camelon in the Peter Craigie Cup. The Scottish Junior Cup campaign started with an excellent 1-0 win at Carnoustie Panmure before the SJFA decreed that our home 3rd round tie against Haddington Athletic be played at Fauldhouse as Murrayfield Park had been deemed unplayable for three weeks in succession. Under protest, the match was played at the Park View ground, even though Murrayfield Park was, by that time, playable, and ended all square. A Chris Morrisey goal was enough to see us through in the replay and earn a trip to Broughty Athletic. A draw on Tayside saw a replay at Murrayfield Park, by which time both teams knew a home tie against Auchinleck Talbot was at stake. In a scrappy game, Broughty got the crucial goal to advance to that 5th round fixture.

After that Cup exit, league form dipped with only one win in eight games putting paid to any promotion hopes that had been harboured. However, a late season rally boosted by the signings of Gary Buchanan from Bathgate Big Break, Derek Conroy from Edinburgh club Fountain Amateurs and Colin Russell from Loganlea Arsenal, saw the team gain seventeen points from the last twelve games, including a fine 5-1 victory at Arniston Rangers, to end the season in sixth spot.

Season 1993/94
New signings in the Summer of 1993 included striker Chris Whyte, who had scored on his debut as a trialist in that 5-1 victory at Newbyres Park, full-back Steve Mackie
from Whitburn Bluebell and
Davie Dow from Armadale Thistle. Colin 'The Bear' Penman also re-joined the club after several years in semi-retirement.

A disaterous League Cup campaigned opened the season. After the previous terms excellent displays, we were soundly beaten at almost every turn, despite five of the six matches taking place at Murrayfield Park due to redevelopment work at opponents grounds.  This poor form ran into our league games too, where four defeats in the first six fixtures were then followed by a reversal against Cammy Fraser's Lochore Welfare in the Fife & Lothians Cup. This made it all the more surprising then, when we had a longish run in the Scottish Junior Cup. After a solid 2-0 victory at Stonehouse Violet, a Brian Fleming equaliser at Cumbernauld United  in the 3rd round brought the New Town outfit back to Murrayfield Park where, after being a goal behind from early on, 'The Bear' secured our berth in the 4th round with two late strikes. The draw for that 4th round paired us with Glasgow side Rutherglen Glencairn but this time we were no match for a strong Reebok Premier League side and on a blustery day in front of a big crowd we went down 5-0.

The league campaign continued to suffer after our exit with only four wins coming from the remaining eighteen games for a 12th place finish. The only local Cup competition that saw the team make any impression was the Alloa Brewery Cup. After a 4-4 draw at Harthill Royal in the 2nd round, a Colin Penman winner saw us through in the replay to face Linlithgow Rose. A Chris Whyte goal in that game was not enough to prevent our demise.
