Player of the Year

The 2007/08 Player of the Year function went ahead in the Bowling Club on Saturday 21st June and all who attended enjoyed an excellent buffet put together by Fiona Ritchie and the music of DJ Daniel McGladrigan. Despite a little bit of a mix-up as the main event of the evening got underway, Steph McCardie eventually got his hands on the right trophy as he deservedly won the accolade of Blackburn United Player of the Year. Steph also picked up the Website Player of the Year award while Alan Brown was the winner of the Player's Player of the Year. The trophies were presented by club sponsor Michael McDermott whose support throughout the year was, as ever, invaluable to the club.
