Contributors to the messageboard have been debating for some time just which eleven players should have the honour of making up the all-time best Blackburn United XI. Well, based on the votes cast, here is that best ever XI - along with six substitutes and a management team!

I think you might agree that if we were fortunate enough to have access to a time machine and were able to pitch all these players onto the park together while in their prime we would be an exceptionally difficult team to beat and, perhaps, would have racked up a whole lot more wins these last 29 years!

Honourable mentions go to the likes of Hugh Temperley, Kenny Hannah, Davie Bell, Alan 'Audie' Simpson, Gerry Ganner, Brian Smillie and Stuart MacKinnon amongst a long list of other players who were worthy of discussion.
Of course, you may very well disagree and have your own ideas as to who should be amongst the best players to have pulled on a Burnie shirt.....and, if you do, don't keep them to yourself - log onto the messageboard and air your point of view!!
